All Things to All Men

A way out of the wilderness

Karl Rove has a good piece up at Newsweek wherein he outlines a path back to power for the Republican Party.

In the coming year, we will be defined more by what we oppose than what we are for; the president-elect and the Democrats in Congress will control the agenda. We must pick fights carefully and center them around principle. The goal is to have the sharp differences that emerge make the GOP look like the more reasonable, hopeful and inviting party—which is easier said than done.

If republicans learn ANYTHING from this election, it should be that people are sick of divisiveness…..

I don’t care what you are against… I want to know what you are for…..

The republican party has been opposing progressive ideas and going backwards for so long, that they have forgotten this:

What we the people want is to live vibrant lives free of government interference and free of corporate malfeasance … and we want our government to help us achieve that…. or get out of the way.

No one knows what the republicans are for except negative tactics, protecting big business and being the opposite of progressive…

Karl Rove sank your ship… I’d look somewhere else for guidance.
